Ep. 308 – The Heart of Markness Led Zeppelin Podcast

This is a very nice stereo recording (AUD patched w/ SBD) remastered by Winston, of Led Zeppelin playing New Orleans on May 15, 1973. This is a fun performance which is one of the best of their May shows.

I play the final trifecta of the night; Heartbreaker, Whole Lotta Love (with medleys aplenty), and Communication Breakdown. All performances are great and you will enjoy them. You will enjoy them.

Ep. 239 – The Heart of Markness Led Zeppelin Podcast

We hear a scorching Page/Plant show, professionally recorded for broadcast on Westwood One) from October 1, 1998 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Everyone is on fire and Jimmy plays like a man possessed. I play Heartbreaker, Most High, and a blazing How Many More Times with Jimmy commanding his instrument like the virtuoso he is, esp when he and Robert go into a brilliant I Can’t Quit You, Baby in the middle, before jumping back into it. Really great stuff.

Ep. 74 – The Heart of Markness Led Zeppelin Podcast

This show was taken from an FM broadcast from New Orleans October 1, 1998, and it smokes! Jimmy Page is on fire for the entire 1998 tour, but he gets better as the tour progresses, and this night is amazing. A great How Many More Times is played, with a bow solo, and even a bit of I Can’t Quit You. Great great performance.
